Perth show 2017

Car now loaded with a few mainly large  plants ready for an early start in the morning

Ali and Sarah at Ardfearn have been getting their plants ready for the Perth show too ...... they reckon they've got around 150 or so different types!

When I see the beautiful pictures of Ali and Sarah, I am even more on my order. Hopefully they deliver soon ... but with you in GB is every weekend a plant show ... madness ... I envy you really very much.  :)

Cyril's Forrest medal number 56 with Jeffersonia dubia alba. This plant was one  of the trio that won him the Dundas Quaich for class 2. He then took the Joyce Halley award for best plant  from seed with  Saxifraga aretioides as well as the bulb trophy with Fritillaria glauca. Finally info on Sax. aretioides

Henry & Margaret Taylor  won the Murray Lyon trophy for best plant from a Tayside member with a fine Lewisia. Cathy & Barry Caudwell took the Perth trophy for most points by  a Perthshire  group member/s. Alan & Jane Thomson  took the Bobby Masterton trophy for best Asiatic primula.  In Section 2 Hamish Mackintosh took the John Duff prize for best plant, the Perth salver for most points as well as the SRGC bonze medal.
