Michael, I've moved your Tulip pix to a new page for Bulbs flowering now.
The Tulip vvedenskyii x T mogoltavica- Girlfriend  is a perfect bright flower, isn't it? Lovely markings.

It's only on closer inspection that I find that the gorgeous 'Girlfriend' has variegated leaves!  :o ::) OOH! Shock!
Pretty smart plant, even so!  :-[

I don't think the variegated leaves are from "Girlfriend" Maggi - I have it too, but still in bud, no variegation there !! (sigh of relief in Aberdeen now).

It sure is a great flower - gives me something to look out for - whenever this snow and hail finishes... (sigh in Belgium)  ;D

Yes!
When I looked again I thought that perhaps the brightly variegated leaf I saw  was actually in the background, and not belonging to 'Girlfriend'.....but perhaps "she" has dark and green striped leaves.... which I still think I might see in the photo.... but, strangely, I do not consider this as variegation!!
Variegation always suggests white and green  or yellow and green.... it is those I am not too keen on!
 So, Calm is renewed! Good!
