Does someone grow it?
Does it make seeds that germinate as easily as those of B. davidii?

I grow it - it doesn't seed around.

We have it too. Never seen a seedling either. There was/is a fantastic Standard B alternifolia at Hidcote

Never tried them. But since it does not seed around and we do not dead head, I would think that they are not viable.
