Is this an orchid or a bulb? Another Sikkim mystery
« on: October 27, 2017, 11:57:47 PM »
I go back and forth, trying to identify a plant that was growing with Cypripedium himalaicum, Cypripedium elegans, a Herminium, and another unknown orchid.  The flowers weren't open.
Yabuk camp, 3990m, Sikkim

Thank you, Oron.  Gymnadenia orchidis was my first thought, but it wasn't listed in the reference books on Northern Sikkim that I consulted.  Looking further, I see it is quite possible to find it where I trekked.
