Julia in New Zealand

Julia Corden, SRGC stalwart and manager of the Explorers' Garden at Pitlochry in Perthshire is a busy soul. As well as all the voluntary work she does for SRGC and her "day job" at PItlochry, she is also a tour leader for several lovely locations around the world. At the moment she is in New Zealand - not leading a tour this time but on a speaking tour in the South Island - giving talks, among other things, about her work as a tour leader. You may sense the involvement of "Jandals", the wonderful Steve Newall, in this enterprise!
Julia will also be enjoying some holiday time down south too - though this is hampered somewhat by a bad knee, which I hope she is taking some care to protect on the mountains.
Julia has also enjoyed the New Zealand Trillium Event, where as well as meetings the group visited several fabulous garden .... I am happy to present a selection of her photos here.
As she flew into Christchurch last week ......
"Flying into Christchurch over the Southern Alps - fantastic flight!
Now a walk in the fresh air!!"
"Great visit to the International Antarctic Centre, near the airport in Christchurch. Little Blue Penguins and White-tipped Penguins - so much fun!"
