Really looking forward to our first meet of the year! Shame Mat can't bring that lovely canine pal, Ziggy with him! Spring is never far away after the Early Bulb Day!

Sadly, Mat's permission from his government superiors to travel to spread the word of the Sydney Botanic Gardens to a wide audience across the world has not been granted in time for him to arrange travel to the Early Bulb Day so he has regretfully withdrawn from the event. SRGC hopes to welcome Mat Murray as a Speaker at some other time. SRGC is happy to show its support of the W. Australian Govmt. in embracing this opportunity to share knowledge and publicity around the worldwide horticultural community. Janis Ruksans has kindly agreed to provide another talk to complete the day, which we are confident will be as popular and important as in previous years.

Big John Amand and  Helen aren't able to attend this year, but   their bulbs will be, in the care of  Kit S. and  Steve - there may even be a famous  Canadian Irisarian helping them out!  ;)

Sales stalls will also be at Dunblane from  Hartside, Kevock, Macplants and Rumbling Bridge -  piggy bank raid before attending may be a good idea!

Have a wonderful day, everyone - and drive safely!

Hope I don't get stuck behind Angie in the queue to pay with her counting out all those pennies!

Ian and Roma Smith are well known for their  expeditions in what I call their  "travelling country cottage" ....

The Smiths and their trusty  vehicle  travel all over europe - this last week or so they've been in Scotland and, of course,  attended the  Dunblane Day today. Ian has kindly allowed me to share a few ofhisphotos of the plants on display with the forum.
