So not Fieldgate Forte. Further attempts at ID difficult because the outer segments come across as cream, so presumably the green markings on the outers aren't the true colour either.

Can anyone explain to me please, in words I'm capable of understanding, why one differs from 'tother?

Posts on this  query from Chas  on Facebook .... where he had posted  his photo, not being sure how to do so here.
I felt these comments  from FB were  relevant here, where Chas made his initial query.

Josh Nelson: Watching with interest as I have very similar, labeled as Fieldgate Forte but different in extent of green (like this) to my other Fieldgate Forte, where the green on the outers is much more restricted to the base and apex

Matt Bishop:  Both are now ‘Fieldgate Forte’. I mistakenly believed that more heavily marked flowers from immature bulbs, which is extremely rare, represented a mutation or seedling of the original ‘Fieldgate Forte’. This material became ‘Fieldgate Fortissimo’ until I realised they were the same thing and owned up to my error!

Here is my Fieldgate Forte clone of the Fortissimo marking type; it's much more extensively marked with green than on my other two.  First is mature bulb, then the younger bulb:
