Following all the messages and comments about Galanthus Dryad Venus, our new inverse poculiform, I am very pleased to say that we have just one bulb to offer on ebay. The flower is just opening and it is a double-nosed bulb. I'm sorry we don't have more to offer, but it will be a year or two before the chipped bulblets will flower and we will know whether they are true to form. We would never sell unflowered chipped bulbs of an inverse poculiform. I am therefore offering one of my very few divisions of the original seedling. It is such a long process to get from the seed to the sale! The photo is of the plant that will be offered.
Some interesting looking seedlings in the pot behind Ingrid!Tim DH
Interesting trend developing between those who name everything that has apparent difference, leading to product dilution and those reserving names for the very best and thus increasing product strength and brand. Choppy times ahead.
It's always good when plants are available in sufficient quantities to allow them to be sold at a price many can afford but I, for one, even though most of the new drops coming along are beyond my purse, like to see that there are those being bred and trialled thoroughly before being released - this is the thorough development I see Anne processing and for which I applaud her.
