The Townsendia and the Eriogonum are new to me and look fabulous !
And of course there's the S. longifolia also !!! It never ceases to amaze me !

Thank you all together for the kind comments.
It is the only Erigeron that I grow in my garden. Unfortunately I do not get seed. All other Erigeron do not like my garden, or my care is not good.

Lewisia - last year all the flowers were in a ring around the plant. This year they are all vertical

Just for your amusement, and because I have a very practical nature....something to do with trough experiments, failures, the ones your kids made when they were five, the half-broken ones, the list could go on.

This bed which will hold more hardy succulents is half edged with large pieces of limestone---but the other half is edged with all of those above free-form low troughs....

Mark, yout sisyrinchium will grow WAY too big for the trough. Mine's about 50cms across. We grow it here as S. macounii album, same thing though.
