More good plants, Franz! I must draw Ian's attention to the Erigonum kennedyi var purpusi... he likes these plants but does not have this variety.

This Townsendia formosana beats all the others! (for me at least.)

Thank you all together for the kind comments.
It is the only Erigeron that I grow in my garden. Unfortunately I do not get seed. All other Erigeron do not like my garden, or my care is not good.
Rudi, of course I remember on our meeting.

Just noticed I've past my 4000th post
More from my troughs
Edraianthus graminiflorus 'Alba'
Lewisia - last year all the flowers were in a ring around the plant. This year they are all vertical
Nabionium calycoroides - I may regret letting this plant loose in a trough
Potentilla dickinsii
Sisyrinchium idahoensis

Congrats on your 4000th Mark !
Very nice plants too !
I like the Sisyrinchium Idahoensis and the Edrianthus graminifolius alba - I've not seen the white form before.

Would you like a rosette of Sisyrinchium idahoensis and seeds of the Edraianthus?

Just for your amusement, and because I have a very practical nature....something to do with trough experiments, failures, the ones your kids made when they were five, the half-broken ones, the list could go on.
This bed which will hold more hardy succulents is half edged with large pieces of limestone---but the other half is edged with all of those above free-form low troughs....

Mark, yout sisyrinchium will grow WAY too big for the trough. Mine's about 50cms across. We grow it here as
S. macounii album
, same thing though.

Luc, yes send me your address.
Lesley, I know this this now. I would guess it has doubled in size in a year but it is lovely.
