Greece, Attica early spring

I spent 7 days between Rhodes and the Attica, mainly for orchids and Irises. The rainy winter had a favourable effect on the blooming.
Later in the spring it's gonna be a very nice season.

Here're some shots, i'll append the post when i've free time after work.

Most of the plants can be found at the sea level until 500-700m.

Thanks, indeed the cold and dark weather remind me we're far away greek sunshine!

The way to differenciate pavonina from coronaria is simple by looking the foliage. pavonina has more jagged leafs

Lovely images Yann. I really like the Anemone. John Massey of Ashwoods nursery in the Midlands has them naturalising among grass - he describes it as "turning a sunny bank into teletubby-land" and they do have a fun, and slightly unreal, look en masse. I really want to do the same here and bought 5 plants to make a start...

It's just 0.5% of what can be seen in this so beautiful country. I was a bit early but in 2 weeks i'm back in the Feta's country 8)
