It was a rather cool morning on arrival at the show (to put it mildly) so it was 'warming' for the exhibitors to be greeted as the approached the first show bench with
Rosenia humilis shown by B&S Smethurst (77) as the first palnt they would see 614366-0
Arisaema amurense from Martin Rogerson (68)
Narcissus hawera from Brenda Nickels (119)
Calanthe tricarinata (91) from Michael Myers, I think he won the most points in the Intermediate section but can't read my writing!, there were plenty certificates displayed on his entry for this class
Not quite sure what Diane Clement is trying to do here, especially as the lens cover is still on but you must have a look at her Facebook pictures when she puts them on 614374-4

The Best Plant in the Novice section, and so winning the Booker Trophy was
Trillium chloropetalum from Lew Clark (hope he was told there should be Horizontal Labelling for exhibits), was a nice starter winning plant 614376-0
Edrom Nursery seemed to have a good day, here they are at the end...many of the regulars at this show were elsewhere this year 614378-1
My last picture, I thought I would use it to take the mic out of Ian Kidman, walking away from the food sales when he looks as though he should lose a bit from the girth!!...sorry Ian just too good a chance to waste it!!!. You still had a very good day with some fantastic plants to show off your skill. 614380-2

Well that's the lot I intend to post. Well done Carol Kellett, going out with a fantastic show for your last show as SHow Sec, well done and thanks for your efforts over all these years

Mr Nicholson, the 'squirrel' to which you referred is actually chasing the rat under my nose (according to the hilarious Mrs Booker) but, in truth is not actually a 'squirrel', but a quite exclusive Siberian ermine of lustrous growth and colour.
