Hi everybody.
An error was spotted in my e-mail address as given in the Show Schedule for Glasgow.  It should read as john.p.lee25@gmail.com
In other words the "25" is missing. Mea culpa. I missed this when I read the proofs. Hopefully, anyone using the incorrect version will have their message bounced back as not sent or something similar.Apologies for any confusion.

Re the Show at Milngavie: according to the Show Schedule the Hall will open at 9.00am on Sat. Thankfully, it is more than likely that exhibitors should have access from about 8.30am. Phew!
See you all on Saturday

Hopefully it will stay dry tomorrow.  The projected temperatures of 17-20C don't look like they will materialise and.13-15C seems more likely.
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh will be there putting on one of their beautiful displays.
No harm in reiterating what Maggi has already mentioned:  4 nurseries in attendance viz. Ardfearn, Hartside, Kevock, Rumbling Bridge.
Plus the Club's own plant stall.
Our marvellous tea-room which puts "Bake Off" on the back burner.
Ian Bainbridge is continuing to offer some of Duncan Lowe's intricately observed drawings for sale.
Some books and cards will also be available.
See you Friday and Saturday and remember Hall will be open from about 8.30am onwards.
John

Forrest Medal winning plant at SRGC Milngavie (Glasgow) Show today - Cassiope lycopodioides 'Beatrice Lilley' - grown by Ian Kidman - photo by Alan Gardner.

Looks like this may be the same plant which won the Farrer  at the AGS East Lancs. Show at Whitworth last week!

edit to add :  Note from Alan Gardner - he has spoken to Ian Kidman and yes, it is  the same plant.

Congratulations to all those clever exhibitors!   Great to see you back in action, Stan -  for the sake of your health, the show and all your  dedicated followers, seeking your  show report  to keep us in touch.  Pretty successful comeback, I'd say - hope you are not overloading that hip!

Super photo of little Arwen with her Grandad, Graeme Butler of Rumbling Bridge  Nursery - Graeme is showing Arwen the  Primula named for the late  Bill Robinson  who was such a well- known SRGC  character- especially at Glasgow.

Bill Robinson was assistant show secretary  at Glasgow and also an enthusiastic exhibitor, before his death  last year.

This was Show Secretary John Lee's last show in charge - well done for all your efforts over the years, John!
