I like most conifers, but I am especially fond of the Genus
Pinus
. The new growth in the spring is especially attractive, and every species is different. Here are some examples:
Pinus nigra subsp. nigra
Pinus nigra subsp. salzmannii
Pinus pseudostrobus
Pinus densiflora
Pinus hwangshanensis

but commonly known as the Wollemi Pine, here are the male and female cones of
Wollemia nobilis
; totally hardy here.
