Photo from Sunday. Shame about the speck of dirt but a little imperfection goes a long way 😝

( sorry Maggie, I tried to edit the photo but got stuck..)

We'll look forward to that!  Much of the UK still in drought conditions - so unusual for most of us, it must be said.

Great weather for the ice-cream makers, though!!

A rather poor pic taken in poor light this evening - might get a better one tomorrow - Galanthus elwesii "green outer tips" which I think Otto said might be 'Comet'

Here's a slightly better pic of "green outer tips" possibly AKA 'Comet'

Galanthus 'Lady Beatrix Stanley' is also in flower but I'm not sure what happened to the first one - it looks like something has taken a bite off the outer petals to level them with the inner "skirt"!

Galanthus elwesii does reasonably well in our garden and are even self sowing gently - we'll never get the carpets of white you see in parts of the UK with G. nivalis but at least they are spreading.
One of the seedlings has green outer tips so there is obviously a bit of influence from 'Comet' near by :)
cheers

Knocked out two of Andy Byfield's new gems this morning, Ladyboy and Aunt Nellie Danglers, both beautiful additions to his range.

Ladyboy had 2 additional bulbs, while AND had three, both after one year of growing! Following in the tradition of strong increases set by Morgana, Andrea's Fault, Lemongrass et al.

The Byfield supply chain has plenty of great material, oomph more of a mystery!  ;D ;D ;D ;D 8)

Fermi and Blonde Ingrid, I very much like your photos of these beautiful galanthus. I am rather delighted with a New galanthus in my possession, grown by Jane Tonkin. It has a most attractive form, great full green inner segment and nice spherical overy . Thanks Jane. If I could name it , it would be ‘Sweet Jane’. Is there a process to register a name?
