Thank you so much for inviting me... if I have time, I'll stop by.

I like to repeat myself...your copy of Genthiana scraba looks wonderful. Have you cultivated this clone from wild seeds?

Thomas

Absolutely impressive... Maggi. I can't offer such a variety of flowers...but I enjoy every single flower of these breeds.

Panayoti Kelaidis of Denver Botanic Gardens is  well travelled ( to say the least!)  and a popular speaker  around the world too - so it is no surprise that he has some super photos  to share - this is   "A gentian memento from last April in the Lesser Caucasus of Georgia above Bakuriani: Gentiana angulosa above the tree line."

And here is  Panayoti with  Zdenek Zvolanek  ( wearing a bow-tie)  in the DBG  a few weeks ago.... ZZ wrote :
Panayoti Kelaidis, the Heart Ace of DBG, arranged for us a great  speaking trip around many new crevice gardens in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico. It was perfectly organised and we met a lot of enthusiasts. He is a great visionary and plantsman."

What two majestic pictures...Maggie.

I know Panayoti Kelaidis unfortunately only from pictures. But in every photo he makes a friendly face...He seems to be a happy being.

By chance I have just studied his article (NARGS) about the Species Townsendia for further research.

I am fortunate to have known Panayoti for a long time - we first met face to face in 199. This  plantsman carries a wealth of knowledge  and is also a  most charming and friendly person.
