“Branklyn - A contemporary look at the Renton Legacy".
Jim Jermyn, NTS Branklyn Garden.

Tuesday 6th November @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Lecture Theatre, 20a Inverleith Row, Edinburgh, EH3 5LR.

Jim is well known to SRGC members. An experienced horticulturalist and lecturer, he is currently property manager of NTS Branklyn Garden in Perth which was created in the 1920's by John & Dorothy Renton. Jim has followed their tradition of growing rare & unusual plants but has imaginatively reconstructed & updated some features of the garden. Branklyn Garden holds National Plant Collections of Cassiope, Meconopsis (large flowered blue spp & cvs) and Rhododendron subsect Taliense.

Everyone is welcome to this lecture which is being hosted by The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society ('The Caley') and Plant Heritage.

There is no admission charge, although a small donation would welcome.

Tea & coffee served after the talk.
Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.
