 RHS Joint Rock Committee has  opened a Twitter page.

This is a Joint Committee of the RHS, AGS and SRGC concerned with Alpines, Rock Garden Plants and Dwarf Bulbs.  RHS Awards  are given and sometimes Trials are organised for these plants.

The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee awarded a 'Cultural Commendation' to Diane Clement  for her Ypsilandra thibetica at the @Alpinegardensoc Pershore Early show   Photo DonPeace




A  'Cultural Commendation'  was awarded to Peter Hood for his Corydalis sewerzowii at the @Alpinegardensoc Pershore Early show



An 'Award of Merit' was made  to Hepatica henryi shown by Bob Worsley at the @Alpinegardensoc Pershore Early Show. Bob was also given a 'Cultural Commendation' for his skill at growing the plant.

The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave an Award Of Merit to Iris pamphylica shown by Colin & Elaine Barr at the AGS Harlow Early Spring Show. Colin & Elaine were also given a Cultural Commendation for their skill at growing the plant.
 The plant  also won the Farrer Medal for best in show  -  Well done to Colin and  Elaine Barr!

Dunblane (Stirlingshire ) Show

The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee RHSJointRock gave a Preliminary Commendation to Tropaeolum brachyceras shown by Henry & Margaret Taylor at the Scottish Rock GC Dunblane Show.



The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave a Preliminary Commendation to Narcissus obesus 'White Petticoat' shown by Peter Semple at the Scottish Rock GC Dunblane Show.



The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave an Award Of Merit to Draba 'Buttermilk' shown by Sue Simpson at the Scottish Rock GC Dunblane Show.

Rosemoor Show

The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave a Cultural Commendation to Jim Almond at the AGS South West (Rosemoor) Show for his skill at growing Iris aitchisonii




The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave a Cultural Commendation to Paul & Gill Ranson  for their skill at growing Dionysia 'Bernd Wetzel' (D. tapetodes x aretioides).



The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave aPreliminary Commendation to Narcissus 'Cartledge' shown by Bob & Rannveig Wallis ( a N. triandrus hybrid named for Jim Archibald - Cartledge was his middle name.)



The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave an Award Of Merit to Narcissus bulbocodium conspicuous shown by Jim McGregor. Kew lists this plant as Narcissus bulbocodium quintanilhae.

The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave a Preliminary Commendation to Primula elatior subsp. meyeri White Form shown by Graeme & Hilary Butler of Rumbling Bridge Nursery at the @Alpinegardensoc & @ScottishRockGC Hexham Show. The plant is to be given a cultivar name




The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave a  Preliminary Commendation to Viola chaerophylloides 'Beni-zuru' shown by Clare Oates at the @Alpinegardensoc & @ScottishRockGC Hexham Show.



The RHS Joint Rock Plant Committee @RHSJointRock gave an Award Of Merit to Pleione 'Ueli Wackernagel' shown by Don Peace  at the @Alpinegardensoc & @ScottishRockGC Hexham Show.

Edit:  Dionysia aretioides x teucriodes , shown by  David  Charlton, will be  given the  cultivar  name ' Evie  Jane  Nicholls' after the  beloved  grandaughter  of  the  Rraiser  of the  plant, Pat  Nicholls.  The  plant  was  given an award by the  RHS Joint  Rock Garden Committee and  so needs  a name - so lovely  to see  it  remembering  one  of  Pat's two tragically  deceased baby grand-daughters.
