Maggi, surely the erythronium would grow under the Sophora and it would add to the many architectural shrubs and trees you have in your garden.Angie, it is planted outside (three years now) but doesn’t look as good as yours. It is against a wall which runs North to South and facing East. Its fairly dry where it is but the wind swirls around in that corner of the garden. I would suggest somewhere sheltered but you should give it a go.
