I may have asked this before but ....
« on: May 19, 2019, 04:14:41 PM »
This plant gently self sows in my troughs and is a nice,bright addition.
But what is it?
It looks like a sedum but, if so, which one? ???

Hi Gail.
Plant is 15cm wide and 6cm tall.
Usually it is in the form of seedlings which are less than that.
Does this give you a clue?

I would agree sedum but don't know which one - there is however a Sedum Society and they offer an identification service if you want to send in a cutting;

Good friend Carol Kellett has keyed the sedum out. :D
It is Sedum annuum, a native of cold northerm climes and a few spots in Spain and the alps.
Phew! :P
Although usually annual I suspect the plant shown may have survived into a second year to achieve the size.
