Looks, that the crevice garden building experts have a nice time at Inverewe.
The wet weather is not too good for their job, but Zdenas cooking will surely
help to support their good work.

Really dreamlike scenery for such a great project.

My eyes aren't the best anymore...but I think I recognize some NZ...right? A list of the used young plants would interest me burning.

I've  asked  about  a  plant  list, Thomas.

The  National Trust  for  Scotland  has  posted  photos  of the  project, too.
" Inverewe Garden & Estate
4 hrs

The construction of Inverewe’s stunning new Rock Garden is very nearly completed thanks to the amazing talents of the Scottish Rock Garden Club, the Inverewe Gardeners and our volunteers.

Travelling from all over the globe 🌏 bringing their expertise to this very special NTS garden in the NW Highlands, we will soon have the most amazing new addition to our visitor experience.

Today the work will be finished and we can show you the results. Here are pix of the team in action over the last few days.

A sincere Thankyou to you all from all those who will be enjoying your work for years to come.....! 👍👍👍"

In September  2020 more  rock stars  will gather at Inverewe to continue the  project ....  more  details will be  released later, but to whet your  appetite on the  event, which will feature  Kenton Seth, master  crevice  constructor  from Colorado and  from Cheyenne Botanic Garden, Jacob Mares .... here  are  some  photos  posted  on social media  by  Panayoti Kelaidis, of  Denver  Botanic Gardens about  a recent  project  by  Kenoton at the  Cheyenne Bot. Gdn.  ... and  PK  is a  man who knows  stars  when he  sees them!!

Panyoti Kelaidis:
"Cheyenne Botanical Garden has put a fantastic crevice garden designed by Kenton Seth in front of their magnificent conservatory: I couldn't believe how beautifully a wide range of rock plants are doing--just visited February 29 and there were snowdrops and draba blooming! Had great fun visiting with Jacob Mares: their gardener who is taking fantastic care of the garden! woo hoo! "

Immediate Past President of SRGC, Julia Corden, has made a visit to Inverewe to see how the SRGC crevice garden is progressing ..... Julia writes :  It is  three years  since the Scottish Rock Garden Club built and donated a crevice garden to Inverewe Gardens .  Built by #ianyoung #zz #paulspriggsrockgardener, Ian & Carlole Bainbridge and #juliacorden    The plants are loving the location, quite close to the sea and all New Zealand Plants ...."

first of Julia's photos from Inverewe 2022

This shows how close the crevice garden is to the sea loch.
