Hmm, yes, it  may be  too late for  it to set   seed at this time  of  year. Nice to be  able to see  it  though.

these are pictures right next to my construction site here in Bavaria. Mine
Colleagues have no eyes for such beautiful details of nature. If you spend the day with open eyes, you will always discover something interesting... I think.

For example, yesterday I found this little yellow mushroom.

Very nice frosty scenes. Here after unusually cold beginning of November weather has now turned warmer, above freezing, and winter is postponed and autumn is back. Mostly it has rained or been cloudy and misty, but there has been couple of sunny days, too.
In the second picture Chamaenerion angustifolium.

Same like in Finland, Ontario has seen January like weather at the beginning of November, with only a thin layer of snow and night temp. down to -17C! All plants were still active growing and they froze instantly, so not very nice images to be taken. Back to 'normal' now, at least for few days.
Snow covered Epimedium, burnt Clematis foliage and frozen Crocus at the beginning



And yesterday, a lesson to never give up: Crocus ochroleucus showing up among Allium leaves , Crocus cart. 'Albus' and young Primula glaucescens in the rockery.

It's been here up and down. Now it is supposed to get colder again, but lucky not as cold as in Ontario.

Thank you Leena. For some plants I will only be able to tell if they survived in the spring. Most seedlings were bundled up in the frames and seem OK. This winter it is forecast to be again very cold and long...wondering about the warming

First generation Epimediums (lishihchenii x acuminatum) seem happy for now
