The little Tulips which naturalise in the garden to delight us with their flowering clumps are a real joy to me!
Great display for the most northern of us
Fermi: your tulip is a nameless member of the ferganica group, it is easy to see on the hairy stems ( kolpakovskiana and its alies have no hairs on the stem). I grow similair plants from the hills on south side of the fergana valley.The name kolpakovskiana for this tulip orginate by A.D. Hall who described it in his book the genus Tulipa together with T. iliensis with is also not correct. Both tulips belong to the same species as mentioned above.Sjaak de Groot
