Maggie you are a genius.  Have checked Dwarf Shrubs by H E Bawden & the description fits perfectly.  Thanks.
Ha Ha! More  like  a  mine  of  useless information!  Happy  to help!  :-*

Gentiana dinarica 'Colonel Stitt': I've never had so many flowers open simultaneously on this (I've had it for 6 years)

Narcissus triandrus hybrid: name lost

Omphalodes cappadocica: with beautiful Minorca hens in the background!

Some pictures from past week.
Crocus heuffelianus has multiplied well, but hasn't set seeds. I planted five bulbs here maybe 5 years ago.
Leucojum vernum does well for me and does Hepatica transsilvanica.
Snowdrop in the fourth picture is 'Glenchantress', a late flowering which I like a lot. Yellowish Helleborus is from 'Jade Tiger' seeds, the best one from that lot.
Meconopsis are already also coming up. :)

Beautiful set of spring flowering plants!
Which species is shown to the right of Caulophyllum?

Last week I visited the Garching heath, a very special dryland habitat north of Munich. It‘s the last site where Pulsatilla patens grows within Germany. Unfortunately I did not pay attention to the fact that Pulsatilla vulgaris also grows there. Other goodies include Adonis vernalis, Gentiana verna and Gentiana clusii, Daphne cneorum, Primula Veris and Potentilla arenaria.
(I‘d love to show some more pics, but somehow the upload tool seems erratic snd does‘t let me do direct upload from the Iphone for some pics - the ones I can post are incorrectly rotated)

edit by  maggi - I have rotated the  photos  for  you!
