Allium, yes, but which?

6 inches tall at most and flowers half an inch across.

Posted a picture in Bulbs, but thought more folks might see it here.

It has the look of Allium drummondii which is apt to seed itself into other pots!
It flowers around October here (southern hemisphere)

Maybe. Thanks. Centre of my flowers is green though and the stamen project beyond the end of the petals.

And October in the southern hemisphere would be spring.  Maybe it is something like Allium daghestanicum.  it blooms late, mine are blooming now.  When grown dry, leaves are stiff and wiry. My flowers are about half the width of yours, but they never seem to open as wide, either.  Bulbs are woody, and short rhizomatous.

That is the one! Great, thank-you so much. Fits perfectly. Even goes with a vague memory I have of growing it in our previous garden.
