From a  Twitter  post  by  David  Morris from Cumbria - ecologist  and fine alpine  enthusiast!

David Morris:

Now the news is slowly trickling out I'm delighted & humbled to be nominated to take up the role of
Alpine Garden Society President from next year. Looking forward to us seeing another 90 years, supporting our members, staff & working with our friends at  Scottish Rock Garden Club  & wider.

Terrific news, congratulations to David!

Cheers Maggi. Really looking forward to the challenge over the coming years. Might be a few more bumps in the road with Covid & recession but whatever happens we will still have our passion for alpines & rock gardening! As a keen member of both AGS & SRGC I think it’s key we see more continued work between both organisations too and play to our strengths. I think that’s probably what much of our membership wants if we want to grow the interest & keep it going long into the future!

Nice to see some young Northern blood coming to the fore.
