The Moraea setifolia is the first Moraea to flower this year. I hope some more will follow.

Last year the Moraea marlothii didn't grow at all. I thought the bulbs are dead but this year they grow and flowers. The flowers of Moraea marlothii are a little bit special. The flowers aren't strait. They have a noddingt position.

There are different colours oft the Moraea ochroleuca. The orange form started to bloom a few days ago.

The yellow form of Moraea ochroleuca bloomed this year a little bit later.

It sets masses of seed, Maggi.  I lost count of the number of stems I cut off but left a couple with big fat seed pods.  It needs a lot of space.  The leaves are about 4 foot long and flap about in the wind.  Kevin Hughes (Cally) told me he cuts back the leaves on his.
