The key to biflores is highly appreciated, I'll go through it with my plants once I have good pictures of all parts. Still as ecologist I must say I am not overly fond of 'splitters' defining taxa by subtle morphological characteristics of a few plants, especially regarding vegetative parts. In many cases such classification cannot be upheld when looking at the full diversity within a tulip population. Infraspecific variation is ofter higher than between such 'species'. We would need to know more about pollinators and reproductive isolation as well as genetics to better define tulip species.https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10722-018-0688-4
