Another unknown shrub in my friend's garden 3 hours north of here.....
This one had got to over 4 metres tall before being decapitated by a falling branch. It had never flowered at that stage, but has reshot well. I am doubting there is enough information in the pictures for an ID, but I thought I'd ask. It is quite distinctive in the leaves, but probably not enough without flowers etc. I've included a longer shot (sorry about the Agapanthus head remains in front) and a closeup to show the leaves and the stem arrangement etc. I have no idea how large it has to be before flowering, so do not know whether it is a shrub or tree. No nurseries has has taken cuttings to has known what it was.
Any takers?
Thanks in anticipation.
