Gentiana asclepiadea started to flower here in late August and they are still flowering. All of them are grown from seeds and there have come up different colours though most are blue.
White one has small spots in the flower so it isn't pure white. Should it be pure white?
The one with lilac colour is also nice. :)

Magnifique!  ;D
I only have a young white flowered form that almost perished this summer. I don't know if only from drought, or something else going on with it.
But if it does so well in Finland it may be that it needs much more moisture and dislikes our hot summers.

Perhaps it needs moisture, and it isn't so hot here are what you have.
It has done well in my garden, and I have it growing in many places. Even in clay and wet it survives.
This lilac form was still flowering last week in more shady spot.

Perhaps the last Geniana acaulis flower in this year is this big flowered cultivar,
a gift from a Czech nurseryman.

I can only dream about something like this Herman! Such a great plant for the fall garden.

Gabriela, do you know a source of Gentiana sino-ornata or other Asian autumn gentian plants or seeds in Canada?

Your guess is as good as mine 'corydalis'. Try to look after a nursery or a Rock garden group seeds exchange from Western (BC) or Eastern Coast (NS, NB). These are the places where you can grow this Gentiana.

Just a few days ago it was warm and the young G. paradoxa was looking very beautiful. In a couple more days we may receive the first flurries of the season  :'(
