Nototriche macleanii
« on: October 26, 2022, 02:06:42 PM »
I bought 1 of these a few years back from Aberconway nursery, I think. It seems quite happy in my sunny unheated greenhouse and flowers, a bit, each year. Most photos we see online show fairly tight cushions in cultivation and spreading mats in the wild. For me it's a bit of a sprawler with a few odd flowers each year. Easy enough to grow if you ignore it and it gets watered from below with all the other plants around it. It is in a 1 litre tall form pot but really needs more sideways support. Does it need a very meagre diet and much harsher conditions to look its best? The label is 84mm long and there are 3 more buds visible.

This plant will be featured in the October issue of IRG free e-magazine - going online  for Friday 18th October - so you should be able to learn quite a bit about  it there!
