Talking about cretica, another form very high compared to all others i grow.
Tulipa kaufmanniana 'Gracija'

 I've had two Tulips here for over 20 years in the NE USA.

I think I've confused them and I think I have it correct now.

Tulipa ferganica and Tulipa altatica.

They are quite similar.

T. altatica flowers a bit earlier than T. fergana.

T. ferganaica has downy tips on the flower petals.

A confirmation would be very helpful.

Tulip batalini 'Bright Gem'


Tulipa 'Garant' in my garden - a very reliable long lasting cultivar, this is its 7th season.

Even if your taste is more for the graceful/botanical varieties, for sheer spectacle you can't beat tulips. I've just been to the walled garden at Houghton Hall in Norfolk where the tulips have real impact at the moment;

I bought this Tulip from Augis bulbs last autumn, it was called T.sprengeri aff.
I planted it in woodland bed like I would T.sprengeri, but I think that was a wrong place and it would prefer a dryer spot.
It flowers about two weeks earlier than T.sprengeri, leaves are different colour and flower is bigger.
Last picture is my T.sprengeri grown from seeds.
