Many snowdrops suffered possibly from winter 2022 and then last years drought, and don't flower this year, but these ones do well.
The last picture is from a clump of garden center elwesii where one is very tall with all green inners.  :)
Leena, still great snowdrops to show!

It is good to see that weather and snowdrop season are picking up in Finland too, Leena! Great pictures! I like your naturalistic style.  Here, it has been over a week now with temperatures around +13 to +14 and in some days even +16 to +17 degrees in Celsius. It means that spring bulbs are blooming in full speed. Crocuses were finished by five days! Snowdrops are little sturdier. However, first are going over too - like ''Glenorma', 'Lucy' and regular nivalis.

But as long as they last, I'm enjoying the best show ever! ;)

I will finish off with different poculiforms today. I like the way they all are little different.

712398-0
Galanthus plicatus 'E.A. Bowles' - classic beauty, very full flowers

712400-1
Galanthus nivalis 'Moreton Mill' - really lovely variety

712402-2
Galanthus elwesii 'Don Armstrong' - super plant! Very long blooming, strong growing, tall, very wide blooms on sunny day. It is it's second year from a single bulb!!!

712404-3
Galanthus elwesii 'White Perfection' - little different elwesii

712406-4
Galanthus nivalis 'Poculiperfect' - just perfect as the name suggest!

Villu, your snowdrops are amazing!!
They seem to multiply so fast for you, your soil and conditions are exactly right for them! Wonderful clumps. :)
'Brenda Troyle' is also so good in your garden. Mine has increased very slowly. 'S.Arnott' on the other hand is much more prolific here, and I have been able to divide it to many places. It is one of the best here.
'Godfrey Owen': I have two bulbs in different beds. The first one is in more dry spot, and doesn't flower (but has increased to two set of leaves in five years), so I bought another and planted it in more moist woodland bed where others do well, but no flowers there either in two years. I think it may be a too early variety and gets damaged by cold.
Besides yellows, poculiforms are also my favourites, but nothing to compare to yours. I seem to have lost my 'E.A.Bowles' but luckily I divided it couple of years ago and I have one bulb flowering now in another bed (the same one where non-flowering 'Godfrey Owen' is). So I'm happy it is still alive, and I have a good growing seedling from it (not poculiform).

The past week temperatures have been high here, days 15-18C and nights just below zero, and very sunny and dry. So snowdrops and crocuses growing in the most early bed are now over, but in woodland bed they still flower and in some are now at their best.
These pictures are from last week.
'Hugh Mackenzie'
'Lerinda'
'Greenish'
'Trumps', still some flowers looking yellow because of cold when it came up.

G.nivalis is still one of the best here.
'Straffan', I'm not sure I could tell this apart from nivalis, but it is a good doer, too.
'Big Boy' almost died in winter 2021-22, but now it has recovered and seems to do well.

Thank you Maggi. :) Snowdrop season is always too short here, but I enjoy them so much. :)

It is good to see that snowdrop season is in full swing now in far North, Leena! Just unfortunate, that it is so short. It was little bit longer for us here in Estonia but compared to Western Europe, it is still just a brief moment. Oh well, we have to accept what we have, Leena! :).

Yesterday we had +20 degrees and it was very warm, like the summer! Most of the snowdrops are over now in my garden. Only the very last ones still persist. I doubt if E.A. Bowles will carry on until May, like usually.

My last nowdrops, photographed 23.04.
