I am in USDA zone 8b where temperatures almost never fall below 15F -9.4C. Rainfall 50" 110 cm + but none June-September. We seldom get snow; but when it comes we get 30" overnight. Soil is sandy loam with a lot of humus.

Mostly bulbs. Gardening in containers and enjoying public green.
Northern part of The Netherlands, a bit above sealevel, zone 8a normally, average precipitation 875 mm.

Best wishes to all for the coming year. Good gardening and wildlife spotting. Very quiet by the river this afternoon but I did see Velvet Shank? and three Redpoll feeding on birch seeds.
