Arthur, this Hepatica is that one from wild origin from Germany?
In the flower: anther, filament and connective are more yellow, that is typical for pyrenaica and americana.

Many years ago I found Skyline and her Children in the wild, 30 Minutes away.
In my garden they mixed with the existing ones, mostly foundlings, and have since then produced many different children.
But there is no precisely traceable origin.

But I have to walk almost 10 minutes to get to the Cypripedium calceolus!
Today with the grandchildren in the forest, 15 minutes by car.
2 different natural locations, they are all still there.

But not the last one...  :'(

Time flies and particularly so in the spring, when many plants start flowering at once.

With the sudden warm up Hepatica acutiloba started to flower in a few locations; in my garden I have them on more shaded spots and the buds
are just about to open.
A few beauties from the woods.
