Like many of you in the last weeks I have been preparing everything for the new growing season which is about to embark soon.

There isn't much happening yet but to my delight I was greated today by the first Crocus Flower of C. vallicola in the open plunge.

I'm wishing everybody a happy growing season from Amsterdam....

It's always exciting to see the first bloom of a new season, isn't it?  It's a treat that keeps us all going!

Both C. vallicola clones are blooming now at the same time.
One is from Trabzon, Turkey and unfortunately the origin of the second is unkown.

And then in the bulbhouse quickly followed by C. hakkariensis which almost 'popped up like a mushroom'...
