I got some Trochodendron aralioides seeds this past Spring and stratified them for a month as recommended. They were planted shallowly on coarse peat. Three seedlings came up immediately when moved to some warmth. These produced true leaves about 1/3 the size of the seed leaves. No other leaves have been produced in the last few months despite some weak fertilizer applications. Can anyone comment on why they are so sluggish despite their apparent health?
