The nights are still below freezing, but during the day it is very sunny and the temperature rises above 10°C. The flowers of the Hepatica's in the garden love that.

The two filled seedlings of Bavarian Blue in their second year of blooming. I'am quite happy with the result.
It is a cross of Hepatica nobilis 'Bavarian Blue' x Severin Strain (double blue) F2.

Yes, you can be satisfied! But you've worked hard for it...

Here's a delicate, nameless transsilvanica

Herman, you have a nice multipetal white nobilis. :)

Carsten's double Hepaticas are so special, congratulations.

Here first Hepaticas are showing colour in open garden. Pictures are from day before yesterday, but last night we got snow again and temperatures are below freezing. I have now dry leaves and spruce brances over the Hepatica buds to protect them.

Great to see all these lovely Hepatica flowers, especially after our super-snowy winter! Or better said, a classical Canadian winter  :D

Very special first time bloomers Carsten! Your hard work is being rewarded.
