In my garden I only have white hederifoliums in flower, also, but also have cilicium, intaminatum and what is supposed to be africanum

You may recall Tony Goode posting a thread for a friend who wanted a good home for his Cyclamen graecum and mirabile.

I volunteered to take some of the excellent plants and am delighted with the results.  In addition to the potted plants, Trevor gave me 20 plants that had grown in the plunge, and I have subsequently harvested 40 plants from the pots - mainly mirabile with excellent pink-flushed leaves.

Shown below are some shots of the collection.  118 shows some of the harvested plants awaiting potting.

Three more shots:-

120 - Cyclamen mirabile
121 - this shows the size of one of the harvested plants
122 - another harvested plant.  This was growing under :o the graecum and I only become aware of it     once the flower emerged.  The pot is 5"

Such fun, Art; you not only have given these plants a good new home, you have also had the pleasure of finding all these hidden treasures, too... what could be nicer?

Art - these Cyclamen are lovely. I find the forms of C. mirabile with pink-flushed leaves difficult to grow well.

Having just joined the local group of the AGS (not joined the AGS though!) I went to my first meeting last night. A very interesting talk given by Alan Furness on crevice gardens. Managed to win the raffle as well, here's a pic of my prize-Cyclamen intaminatum

You will be giving the lecture next, David!  :)

Why this reluctance to join the A.G.S.?  The Bulletins are excellent.  One can't be a member of too many alpine societies - I'm certain that David Sellars (and I) would be keen to recruit you (and any other forum regulars) to the ranks of the Garden Club of British Columbia as well!

I will let this friendly alpine club speak for itself by using their own promotional material.  The seed exchange is exceptional for the size of the club and the Bulletins are always a pleasure to read.

Alpine Garden Club of B.C.

Membership Benefits

The Bulletin is published four times a year with information on club activities and articles on a wide range of aspects of plants in the wild and in cultivation.

The Seed Exchange is an exchange of seeds collected by our members worldwide in cultivation and in the wild.
Approximately 1500 varieties, many rare, are published in the seed list in November, from which non-donors are entitled to 30 packets of seeds and donors to 60 packets of seeds, with priority given to donors.
The Club subscribes to seed collecting expeditions to mountain regions overseas. Further seeds are for sale at meetings, particularly early in the year.
