Galanthus krasnovii
« on: August 19, 2008, 04:20:15 PM »
Hi all!

I would like to do a swap with an Estonian friend. He is very interested in Galanthus krasnovii and wants to swap it for G. platyphyllus as he grows it very well at his nursery/garden. The problem is that I do not cultivate krasnovii. Therefore I am searching for one bulb of krasnovii. Perhaps some of think that it is not the true platyphyllus but as you can see in his photo or on his homepage (am I allowed to post the link here?) it is.
You would get the platyphyllus, so it is more your swap than mine.  ;D

I hope this exchange doesn't sound too dubios.  :-\

Best regards,
Arne

He mainly sells bulbs like Janis Ruksans (they know each other). Therefore I wasn't sure whether I am allowed to do that.

Hi Chris!

Can I hope in future to swap with you 1 bulb of Galanthus krasnovii too? I have no a big snowdrop collection and I can share with you only true Galanthus angustifolius G. Koss from locus classicus - Dubrava mntn. near Piatigorsk, Nothern Caucasus. Or I have too true Galanthus bortkewitschianus G. Koss from locus classicus - Kamenka river - to swap..... And last spring I find in Crimea very interesting form of Galanthus plicatus M. Bieb. with very long flower pedicels.

Dimitri.
