Ian, you mentioned that you would wait until the crocus opened fully before pollinating them. Crocus always seem to have several flowers tucked inside each bulb. Have you ever pollinated them all, and did you get multiple seedpods?

I do sometimes get multiple seed pods from a single corm that goes a bit of the way to making up for the ones that I never get seed from.
This is all part of natures way - if all the flowers came at once and the weather was bad then there would be no seed but if there is a succession of flowers then there is a better chance that at least one will hit a good weather window.
