Canada Visit Sept. 08
« on: October 01, 2008, 07:30:46 PM »
To all the wonderful people Ann and I met on our trip to Canada, some forum members and quite a few lurkers we really had such a fantastic time with visits to the University of British Columbia Garden, The Van Dusen Garden and The Toronto Botanical Gardens We also visited Niagraa falls, Banff, Lake Louise to mention a few places. I hope to post a few pictures over the next week,   cheers Ian the Christie kind.

Wow ! Great start Ian and a wonderful prospect to see lots more...
I think I detected a mistake in the naming of the pix though - the last pic but one is Moraine Lake I think and not Lake Louise which is shown on the last pic !

Look forward to looooooooots more !  ;)

Very nice. Could the next round be larger images? 600 or 700 pixels wide, please?

Hi to all, thanks for all the messages, we are sure that the picture is Lake Louise taken from around the corner as this shows the few moments the sun was shining. We had snow and bitter winds other times just like home. I have a short time to spare before we leave for the SRGC DIscussion Weekend in Glasgow where 155 brave people will arrive for a very special meeting of our friends from around the world if you have missed this then book early for next year. we Scottish Rockers sure know how to have a hoolie *( a great time) a few bottles of the good old amber liquid helps but if you fancy something even a cup of tea we would be delighted to see you. I post another set of pictures for now the TBG is Toronto Botanic Gardens  cheers Ian the Christie kind.

I don't think you need to limit that to Calgary, Ian! ;D
We visited the Fergusons in 1999 and it's wonderful to see how the garden has developed (I think the rear wall is "new").
cheers

Absolutely fantastic pictures, Ian.  What a wide variety of scenery.  I would so love to visit Canada.

Thanks so much for showing us around your trip.  I am definitely rather jealous.
Cheers.

Nice pictures Ian ... We in Ottawa, Canada at the Ottawa Valley Rock Garden society really enjoyed your talk and the wonderful plant photos while you were here. We did share your seeds at our seed exchange, and now look forward to seeing what develops. Thank you
