By late summer to come (Jan/Feb) I should (may) be able to spare for distribution, say 3-6 small corms of Cr. olivieri ssp. balansae 'Chocolate Soldier.' But I can't send them to Matt in Australia for a list and if I send them to the UK there is the problem of acclimatization (the turn around to opposite seasons. Possible but sometimes tricky.) I could sell them here of course ( a number of local people have asked for them) but I'd really like to share this outstanding crocus more widely. Any suggestions?

Hi Lesley as you say acclimatisation to the northern hemisphere is tricky but not impossible. What if you split the bulbs sell half locally to your neighbours and send the other half to the srgc seed distribution or all of them if you'd prefer. There's a chance they could end up anywhere, there's members in many different countries.

Wim and Ruben, the Crocus Pixies, are in Belgium - hence the enthusiastic use of beer in their training schedule, Carole!  Isn't it lovely to get a  package in the post ?  And we don't even have to wait for Christmas!

Tempting, Carole, but I'd hold off the beer till later - I know I'd stand a better chance of getting the labels correct when stone-cold sober - and that Belgian beer can be  powerful stuff!

Yes there was - the seed arrived here today.  I have yournameatxtra.co.nz on the membership list.  Summer newsletter had details of seed-ex.  I'm guessing yours got lost in the post ... I do not send them out any more but when I did I found a proportion from every multi-address mailing did not arrive 

Contact Wim Boens - maybe there is some seed left over.
