Hello Ruben

Germination hasn't taken long --18 packets of different Crocus from this years exchange were sown at varying depths in the first week of Oct and germination at various stages is occurring at the moment in 16 pots....

A small sample is shown .

C. tournefortii cotyledon above the surface.

C. cartwrightianus cotyledon growths yet to reach the surface.

C. adenensis with what looks like root radicles emerging.

The Crocusses are forming fat seedpods already, so the time has come for me to remind you to please collect some seeds for the seed-exchange of the Crocus Group. Any leftover corms or cormlets are more than welcome too! Ruben & I will be very glad to receive heaps of seeds and corms to redistribute this year!

I harvested the first seeds of the year today...so it is time to "bump" this thread. Don't forget to collect some seeds for the Crocus Group Seed-ex, please...the members will be eternally grateful to all donors!!
