Good grief, Martin.... go find a bottle of wine and drink it... QUICK!

I'm not sure being drunk would help. Might make things worse!

It is a wild and windy night here... stormy weather indeed, though the rain hasn't come yet... but Ian can't have had the most pleasant of flights down to Exeter.... there was a stop-off at Leeds, too..... but I AM happy.... the airport arrivals page tells me the plane arrived okay.....

Ian's speaking the the AGS Devon/Exeter Group tomorrow evening, his subject is Erythroniums : 7pm Longdown Village Hall (on the Exeter to Moretonhampstead Road) Longdown Road, Exeter.

Ian is hoping that, David, he's looking forward to meeting you in real life !!  ::)

If you're hoping for a glimpse of the Birthday Despot footwear, though, you will be disappointed..... he's hoping to go beach-combing today and has only taken boots..... ??? :(...... I tried to persuade him but he wouldn't budge....  :-X

I have a picture in my mind of a small (but perfectly formed!) bearded Scotsman, with his arms full of artistic looking pieces of driftwood, assorted equally artistic looking sea shells, and Tesco bags full of compostable kelp, being ejected from his flight at Exeter Airport.

One Bulb Despot, one projector, one computer and one screen: result = an hour and a half of bliss. Wonderful talk Ian and a great pleasure to meet you 'in the flesh'.
