Aren't they lovely, I've ordered mine ( refers to new snowdrop forms offered in a new sales list)

Me too. Only problem from my point of view is that, because Ron's catalogues went out so early this year, I missed the chance to have some slips put in with them, telling his customers about my novel, The Snowdrop Garden, that's being published next February.

I should have contacted Ron sooner.    He was happy to do it but by the time I talked to him he'd already put all the catalogues into envelopes, so now I'll have to wait till next year. At least Joe's said I can do something at the gala in  February, so there's that.

Shame though. It's my first novel and it's all about snowdrop growing and the world of snowdrop collecting, so I'm sure at least a few of Ron's customers might have been interested. No real budget for advertising the novel, so this kind of word of mouth stuff and flier in catalogues stuff is my best way to get the word out about it. I need to plan things better. Always too busy writing though.

I hope none of us feature in it Martin ;D

All characters purely fictitious, and any similarity to real persons is purely coincidental, as they say.  :)   But seriously, no, it's all invention but set in the world of snowdrop collecting and about a unique snowdrop garden that's threatened by development. Funny, heartwarming, love interest, snowdrops, something for everyone.  :D

I hope so. Snowdrop enthusiasts alone won't be enough of a readership to make it a success, but if enough snowdrop growers order it, they could help get initial sales figures off the ground and encourage the big bookshop chains to stock it and push it. I'm hoping both snowdrop people and non-snowdrop people will find it a good read, but obviously of special interest to snowdrop enthusiasts. I've been working on the final draft all Autumn. I need a break!

Hope you'll enjoy it. Did I mention the Bulgarian gangsters, the Russians on the front lawn with big guns and the recipies for Slovak traditional Christmas soup and honeybreads? As I said, something for everyone!  ;D

Maggi, I assure you any similarity between the Wicked Bulb Witch Of The North character and your good self are purely coincidental and I refer you to my lawyers, Sue Grabbit and Runn.

Will do, Maggi. I'm sure that would help with getting it known about amongst the snowdrop-growing community (and others).
