Well I hope they do split it and share it for this reason.  Last year I showed a tight clump of 'Claret' on the forum and after asking for some I was told no. I looked for it in the same garden this year and was very disappointed. There was only one bulb left  Mice or squirrels must have eaten them.

well, like Galanthophiles say "the best way to keep something is to pass it around"

I would imagine that there are many gardens with Lyn's pink tommie growing, for many have been distributed  over the years.
I have asked about the pot that was at Dunblane and I gave you an answer.... I feel it is rather unsporting to continue with these attempts to try to force the hand of another person, or make them feel uncomfortable about a decision that is theirs to make.

Misunderstanding Maggi. I don't think Mark was meaning that particular pot, but the plant in general. I too thought you meant that that was the only pot of Lyn's Pink on the planet, hence my comment above. :-\

Defintely not trying to make someone uncomfortable about their bulbs. I too thought it was the only pot of Crocus.

Maggie,
We all believed that Mr Holmes had perished in the Reichenbach falls.  :'(
Instead he was doing zoological research, investigating the Llamas in Thibet. (sic!) ???
A VERY farsighted project indeed.  :)
Perhaps Morse staged his demise in order to give Lewis a gift hidden as inheritance.  :-X

Göte, you may have hit upon the truth.... sources tell me that Dr Bustard has zoological connections, though far from the Himalayas...... :o ??? 8)
