Tagetes would be fitting best in the case of Anthony.
They are called in Germany 'Studentenblumen' ( Student Flowers)

When I moved into my current house in 1987 my mother gave me a brand new wrapped pair of Marigolds. I didn't used them until a few years later. I got really excited when I saw there was a free offer inside, until I saw it expired in 1976. I'll see if I still have them?

I'm definitely not going to Dunblane. It seems that there will be nothing but soup and washing up with a special display of household gloves, some worn by reluctant models.

Now, Anthony, if I thought there was any chance you might actually make some of that soup and wear those Marigold gloves I would be on my way to Dunblane immediately. The flowers wouldn't bring me but to see you in the kitchen would be a treat.

Perhaps, if you do make an appearance some kind forum member might post a suitable photograph for our enjoyment. Go on, Anthony, make our day!

The soup's made Paddy. I even had a bowl for my tea. I think I'll leave the gloves at home. Don't want to frighten anyone. I'll have my camera tomorrow too. I've got 20 pots of 'Viridapice' for the SRGC stall and 8 varieties of snowdrops for the display.

Well, got to the Victoria Hall bright and early, at 8.50 a.m., 10 minutes before the bell and, apparently, 10 minutes after the doors were unlocked. Already hunners of plants on display! What a display! Cannot do it justice in pictures, but here's a flavour.
