Penstemon species?
« on: December 08, 2008, 10:32:16 AM »
Howdy All,

A Penstemon species that I was given a few years ago.  I'm assuming by the size of the flowers that it is a species type anyway?  The plant grows to about 1.5m or taller (likes to flop over, so definitely prefers to have other things around it to hold it up a bit), with flowers only about an inch long and a cm wide.  The hairs on the lip are rather distinctive.  Anything else I need to photograph for identification purposes?

Any takers?
Cheers.

Canberra, Australia.
Min winter temp -8 or -9°C. Max summer temp 40°C. Thankfully, maybe once or twice a year only.
