Thanks Diane, amazing to look back like that. I wonder who the donor was  !!, perhaps they look in on this forum.  Does anyone donate galanthus seed ?   I've just sown seed of reginae - olgae from this year's distribution. I hope its as successful and maybe flowers sooner  :)

Beth made a killing tonight with her snowdrops. All sold for well over normal value. What is amazing is many can be bought from her web site for less. The biggest seller was Britten's Kite that sold for £78.

I fear that more and more suppliers will go to Ebay leaving nothing available for us sensible people.

Speaking as one living on savings and with interest rates falling at speed, I can be pretty sure that if I HAD any of these flippin' 'drops, I'd be off to Ebay like the proverbial rat up a drainpipe...... ::)

The good thing is that the plant manager at Beth Chatto Gardens said that once they had sold ten they would be allowed to sell as "Buy it Now".  Well they have sold ten nowso it will be interesting to see if they do hold to this promise.

Probably. When I go to snowdrop events many people know about the forum and the bulb log. They always say the feel they have nothing to say

Just posted on the PBS (Pacific Bulb Society) list:

Another comment on eBay in general. We have discovered that illegally
imported material is sometimes offered. Fish and Wildlife has actually
brought us material they got off eBay to help identify. Some is likely
smuggled CITES material, especially with succulents. I suggest  checking
with known sources before relying  on eBay.
